Dunston Pillar

This afternoon We took a detour home via Dunston Pillar which is an old stone pillar. It was built to serve as an inland lighthouse to light up the way across the fens when travellers  travelled from Sleaford to Lincoln in old time to protect them from highway men especially one called dick Turpin.
